Attention Express Entry Applicants – Important Update from IRCC
Starting August 21, 2025, you must complete your medical exam before sending your permanent residence application. You’ll also need to upload proof of your exam in your application.
Who needs to do it?
Everyone in your application, including your spouse and children—even if they’re not coming to Canada with you.
Already did a medical?
If you had one in the last 5 years (for a work or study permit), you might be able to use it again. Just include the medical exam number in your application.
How long is it valid?
Medical results are valid for 12 months. If it expires before your application is finished, you’ll need to redo it.
